Rev Marie Ropeti

I moved to New Zealand from Samoa in the mid 70s where I studied theology and ministry at the Knox Theological College Dunedin and proceeded to work in Parish Ministry. Being passionate about multicultural and multiracial ministry, I moved to the United States and did further studies at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkley. My interest in women’s studies led me to take women’s courses for a year with the late Letty Russel. I taught Pacific Island Christianity and Culture at Knox College Dunedin and also worked for the Pacific Conference of Churches as a Human Resource manager for the Pacific churches in Fiji. I am currently working full time as a Parish minister in New Zealand and a Part Time PhD student at the Pacific Theological College.
